Thoughts About Writing:
Writing is both a form of communication and an art form. Historically, writing has been used to spread information accross lands and eventually oceans. It was a tool that allowed people to communicate with a disregard to both time and distanace. As technology developed, so did the writen word. Once the telgram was invented, the ability to communicate accross distance was shortened and started the steady jog to where we are today in-terms of communication.
The history of writing and how it was used amazes me. It's also something that inspires a sense of thankfullness. Thanks to writing, I can communicate with family and friends accross distances. I'm able to type something on my phone, send it, and I might get a instant reply. And that's just talking about the writing technology that's grown up with me. Thinking about how far writing, communicate, and technology has come in my parents and grandparents lifetimes is really crazy.
Writing is something that I enjoy, creative writing esspecially. The ability to create worlds with just a couple words is something that has me somewhere in the field of being awed and inspired. Creative writing is where I see the art form of writing. On the reader side of things, I'm grateful that so mnay writers have been able to take advance of the technology to produce such works of art. On the writer side of things, I'm gratful that it's so easy to get these thoughts outside of my head and onto a page.
